NegEnt Spray is a cosmeceutical product, with an original formula, developed and tested by Prof. Tullio Scrimali, at the Herbal Neurocare laboratories and in the context of the clinical settings of the ALETEIA Sistema facilities >.
It is made up of an original microemulsion, with a registered formula, containing micellar cannabidiol and chamomile hydrolate whose active components are made up of products different aromatics, extracted from chamomile flowers and cannabidiol.
A cosmeceutical product creates an innovative preparation, with therapeutic effects, registered on the European CPNP portal which guarantees its tolerability and safety (Choi, Berson, 2006).
NegEnt Spray was registered, as a cosmeceutical product, on 10/18/2023, with ID 230132 and CPNP reference 4369911.
The different components of NegEnt Spray exhibit complementary and synergistic actions, contributing to an effective action profile, characterized by strong soothing, hydrating, anti-inflammatory, analgesic and regenerating characteristics (Baswan, Klosner, Glynn, Rajgopal, Malik, Sand, Stern, 2020; Nóbrega, Tais, Wagemaker, 2013).
The cannabidiol, contained in NegEnt Spray, is extracted from inflorescences of Cannabis Sativa L., a light variety, cultivable in Italy, on the basis of current regulations regarding industrial hemp. The extraction of cannabidiol from female inflorescences is achieved with the supercritical carbon dioxide method, or through the use of alcoholic solvents. The cannabidiol thus obtained is conjugated, through a method that uses high pressures and ultrasound, with liposome molecules, in order to create liposomal micelles which exhibit a diameter of 200 nanometers. Therefore, NegEnt Spray does not fall under the nanomaterials regulation which concerns preparations with molecules smaller than 100 nanometers. The stabilization of the liposomal micelles, to avoid their aggregation, is achieved through the use of a vegetable emulsifier, Quillaia saponaria.
As regards the other main component, the Matricaria Chamomilla, it is present in the NegEnt Spray product in the form of hydrolate, obtained through distillation in steam current. The steam, after being applied to the flowers of the Chamomilla recutita (matricaria) plant, is made to condense, regaining its liquid appearance. As this liquid rests, it separates into the two phases that compose it: chamomile essential oil and chamomile hydrolat. Chamomile hydrolat is, therefore, a floral aromatic water. It contains: flavonoids, coumarins, phenolic acids, terpenes, sesquiterpene lactones, chamazulene, alpha-bisabolol, flavones, coumarins and mucilages.
